Cheerful Giving

This is not going to be a sermon or lesson on the importance of giving. For the moment, I am going to assume you already know that the church relies on the contributions of its members to proclaim the Gospel in various ways and at all times.

The reason for this post is to examine ways of contributing to the church. Traditionally, St. John’s has relied on donations of cash or checks, given during worship. As the Coronavirus pandemic gets worse and closer to home, it is wise to consider not only how to get the Gospel out but how to allow contributions to come in.

It looks like there is interest in livestreaming worship services at St. John’s. We will likely try it out. But what about offerings? If you cannot come to the church, how can you get your offering to the church? I am glad some of you have asked! Please help us by answering yet another poll.

How would you feel comfortable giving your offering to St. John's during the coronavirus lockdown? (This does not bind you to anything. It is just an informational question to help Pastor and the church leaders make decisions during this time.)
